Most of us are pretty good at looking after the skin on our face, but an area that we frequently neglect is our neck.
According to research by @elizabetharden only a 1/3 of women between 30 and 59 use a neck cream!
Dermatologists always say that they can tell a woman’s age simply by looking at her neck & hands.
It’s so important to look after our necks as the skin there is far thinner, is more sensitive, has fewer oil glands, so without moisturising it can become crepy, loose firmess & start sagging leading to the dreaded turkey neck!
Our necks are also exposed to constant movement & unlike facial skin, the neck does not adhere directly to subcutaneous tissue or muscles. On average we look down to check our phones every 12 minutes leading to a rise in the so called “tech neck” which leads to increased horizontal lines too!
Double moisturising is one way to correct this problem & as the skin on the neck is more prone to sun damage due to its paper thin texture, always ensure that you use an SPF too.
