HOW BOTOX AFFECTS ORGASMS!

Yes you read that right!

I’m often asked my thoughts on Botox and this is one of the reasons why it’s not for me! I’ll share my other reasons in future posts.

American sexologists at the Masters & Johnson institute discovered years ago that a frown on your face is part of orgasm & researchers at @cardiffuni have discovered that removing that ability to frown through injecting Botox can affect orgasms in several ways.

So while Botox may erase wrinkles it could also get rid of your orgasm! The study which was published in the @journal.of.scientific.research found that women who had it injected around their eyes experienced a loss of sexual pleasure & less satisfying orgasms & those who had it in their forehead found it harder to orgasm!

Here’s why ⬇️

The muscles targeted by Botox are the same ones associated with orgasm & sexual excitement. By effectively freezing your facial expressions & taking away full control of facial muscles, women may struggle to achieve orgasm so therefore Botox can hinder your sexual pleasure & ability to orgasm. Also, as Botox restricts muscle movement, you show less emotion & during sex this stops your brain (and your partner!) from thinking you’re having a good time! There’s power in facial expressions, not only to show how you’re feeling to a partner but also to enable yourself to fully let go in the moment. This previously unimagined significant negative impact from Botox makes perfect sense!

The researchers wanted to test whether restricting those muscles affected the ability to feel sexual pleasure & their studies clearly show it does.

This study, though small (24 women took part) clearly demonstrates the importance of facial expressions during sexual intercourse which Botox can take away.

Thoughts? Would this put you off getting Botox? If you’ve had Botox have you noticed any of these side effects?
