Your skincare routine simplified!

NOW THAT YOU KNOW WHICH INGREDIENTS TO USE, HERE’S THE ORDER IN WHICH THEY SHOULD BE APPLIED!

The key to choosing ingredients is to work with your skins cycle, the active day phase & the regenerative night phase.

AM - the goal in the morning is to PREPARE & PROTECT skin for the day ahead.

✨CLEANSE to remove excess oil & grime that has accumulated overnight.

✨TONE with a regular timer or your choice of exfoliating acid - glycolic, lactic or salicylic etc depending on your skin type & concern on alternate days to vitamin C.

✨EYE CREAM should always be applied first, as no matter how carefully you apply your serums & moisturisers you’ll always get some in your eye area & then it won’t be absorbed.

✨HYDRATE with a hyaluronic acid serum, and always apply it on damp skin as it works best when it has moisture to work with.

✨PREVENT oxidative stress by applying an antioxidant serum such as Vitamin C, on alternate days to using exfoliating acids. If sensitive to vitamin C, coenzyme Q10 is a great alternative.

✨MOISTURISE to seal everything in, create a barrier & prevent water loss. Active ingredients cannot penetrate this barrier so always apply your moisturiser last.

✨Apply SPF of at least 15, to protect your skin from further ageing, as up to 90% of ageing is caused by UV rays.

PM - at night the goal is to help your skin REPAIR.

Follow all the steps above but double cleanse & no need for a sunscreen.

✨REPAIR with retinol & peptides on alternate nights to exfoliating acids. An alternative if sensitive or pregnant is bakuchiol.

Follow with a thicker moisturiser & if using an oil apply this beforehand for normal/combination skin or after for dry skin.

Once or twice a week use a targeted mask depending on your skins needs or an overnight sleep mask if your skins in need of extra hydration or repair.

I hope this helps to simplify it but as always, DM me if you’ve any further questions.

Remember if you’re in any doubt, always layer from the thinnest ingredient, working your way up to the thickest, so that everything gets absorbed. Happy layering! @ Wexford, Ireland
